Bathroom Renovations in Toronto

The bathroom is a place where you want to relax, refresh, and rejuvenate. It needs to be open and inviting with pleasant textures and colours, and intriguing with glass enclosures, interesting tile work, and upgraded fixtures and fittings.

At the top of the list of "must haves" for most Toronto bathrooms is the thermostatic shower system. It features large shower rain heads, adjustable shower arms, and temperature control valves. These units not only create visual interest, but enhance the shower experience. Glass enclosures for showers are also a definite upgrade to curtains. They visually expand the size of your Toronto bathroom and allow for a more illuminated and open shower.

Today, Schluter waterproof membranes for tiled showers virtually eliminate past problems associated with leaking showers; stand alone furniture grade bathroom vanities both increase storage and accentuate style in the bathroom; dual flush toilets improve water efficiency; and jacuzzi tubs with aeration and chrome therapy lighting add to the bathing experience and luxury feel of your bathroom.

Putting all of these and other elements together into a working bathroom can be challenging. The selections available for your space can sometimes be overwhelming. Ashton Renovations can help make this task easier. We can assist you with your main bathroom, or ensuite, and fashion a design suitable for your home and tastes.

Contemporary Bathroom in Leaside with Double Shower

This ensuite bathroom originally featured a large Jacuzzi tub with a small corner shower and moderately sized vanity. The owners choose to eliminate a rarely used tub and put in place a large dual shower with a sliding glass shower door. Rather than quantity, they chose quality and opted with an open space illuminated with the large skylight above the shower. The bathroom is a mixture of old and new with neutral coloured tile work, and dark wood shaker cabinetry. Contemporary handles and sconce lighting, as well the clean lines of dark glass tile in the shower add a spice of new to the bathroom.

Traditional Bathroom in Ledbury Park

This ensuite bathroom predominantly features detailed tile work associated with traditional design: marble mosaic floor tiles, ceramic subway tiles and wainscoting with marble chair rails; marble insert on the main tiled wall of the shower; stand alone tub with floor mounted faucet; and a tiled knee wall with marble sill. Although a traditional design, elements of current fixtures are also incorporated into the bathroom including: a thermostatic shower system with body sprays, a Jacuzzi tub, a Robern medicine cabinet with built-in electrical and LED lighting, and dual flush toilet.

Modern Bathroom in King City

This modern ensuite borrowed space from an adjacent hallway, following a growing trend to increase bathroom size and accommodate a larger area for showers and functional space. Today it is common for homeowners to demand that bathrooms be suitable for more than one user at a time. The design of the bathroom features clean lines and modern textures including a concrete bench and sill. The vanity is simplistic and features flat panel doors and built-in acrylic top. The glass shower enclosure and large rain head add to an open and luxurious feel.
