Little Italy - Toronto - Traditional Ensuite Bath Renovation

Project Overview

The original bathroom in this 100 year old home located in Toronto was small and improperly constructed. The plan was to borrow from the side bedroom and create two washrooms: a powder room and master ensuite with a large shower and cast iron tub. Unfortunately, after demolition a few surprises were realized including lots of knob and tube wiring and compromised floor beams.

The original design concept was flipped around with the powder room now in place of the original washroom. The areas received all new floor joists and plywood, new electrical and complete new plumbing. The finishes included a heated flooring system, separate ventilation for each bathroom, marble flooring, thermostatic shower system, glass shower doors, and new windows.
